No Magic Carpet Needed: Free Moroccan Night at Avenue 209
Lock Haven University International Office announces its last “Culture Through Coffee” multicultural night of the fall semester, featuring the country of Morocco on Monday, November 23rd form 6-9 pm. Moroccan night is the fourth multicultural event at the coffee shop. The goal of each event is to educate the community about different countries, celebrate diversity and promote tolerance. Come and explore the exotic culture of Morocco. A land known for its snake charmers, legends of magical genies and pulsating marketplaces, processes a unique and fascinating culture. Found on the northern tip of Africa, its culture is as diverse as its land with Spanish, African and Muslim influences, creating a unique and unforgettable experience. Sip down mint tea and sample some exotic and free food. Add some flair to your home by making colorful paper mosaics or part-take in some free belly dancing lessons. Last but not least, Arabian costumes will be provided for attendants, so don’t’ miss out on a funny and unforgettable photo opportunity with your friends. Join in on the fun for the last “Culture Though Coffee” event of the season. It’s an awesome chance to learn something new and explore, as beloved Moroccan Disney character, Aladdin, once said “a whole new world.”
