Global Citizenship
The future of our common humanity depends on how well our students learn the lessons our places, whether those places are in the Northern or Central Appalachians, the Sierra Madre Occidental, the High Atlas or the profoundly changed landscape of the Mississippi and Louisiana Gulf Coast, are teaching them. MountainServe invites you to come and join us in serving, learning and listening to the stories and lessons that come to our students from places where the ground is incredibly uneven.

After you have become a member, under the Navigation toolbar you will see all the service events and other information regarding opportunities through MountainServe.
If you want to post a question regarding any events or sign-up for a service project you can post a thread at the bottom of the page. For example, if you are on the Other Service Opportunities page and want to sign-up for Basket Weaving, you can Scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see a Discussion Thread. To sign-up for Basket Weaving will need to click on Post a Thread. Make sure you post the name of the event you are volunteering for, along with the time you are available to help out. In the weeks before the event you will want to check regularly on the website to look for any changes or updated information you may need to know. Also, make sure you check back on the website for replies to any questions you may have posted. Other than that, you will then be a member and can peruse service opportunities at your leisure as well as sign-up for service opportunities or post questions via the webpage! If you are not a member than you will not be able to post questions or sign-up for events online. *The MountainServe Office is making this change to make volunteer recruitment and volunteer sign-ups more user friendly and time efficient. Thank you for your patience! |
